5 minutes walk (down) to Carvoeiro a delightful, classical Algarve fishing
village that has retained its charm with white-washed cottages and buildings
running down the hillside to the beach. The village square, around which
much of the local life revolves, overlooks the lovely sandy beach where
fishing boats await the next trip. Carvoeiro has a bustling, friendly
atmosphere, with plenty of fine restaurants, numerous bars, a good choice
of shops, pharmacy, banks, doctors, butchers, bakers, newsagent and
