Scottish Island hopping Skye & Bute

ITINERARY
Excursions Included:
A morning departure from your preferred pick up location to your first over night hotel at the Winnock Hotel.

After breakfast we depart our hotel we travel along the shores of Loch Lomond and over Glencoe for a short lunch stop in Fort William before heading onwards to Skye, famous for its scenery and landscapes, crossing the Skye bridge, gateway to this majestic Isle. Early evening we arrive at our hotel, overlooking Broadford Bay.

After breakfast we have a free day to explore the Isle of Skye and we include the unique Glass Bottom Boat trip offering the opportunity to spot seals, otters and exploring the underwater kelp forests, home to a variety of marine life. Returning to our hotel for dinner.

For the second part of our adventure, we leave Skye and head for Colintraive for the ferry to Rhubodach on the lovely island of Bute. We take a short lunch break in Oban the gateway town to the Isles before arriving on the Isle of Bute at the Glenburn Hotel with impressive views over the Firth of Forth to the Kyles of Bute.

Today we have a day on the Isle of Bute which is 15 miles long by 5 miles wide here we include a visit to Mount Stuart House & Gardens. A 19th Century mansion with extravagant interiors and expansive landscaped and wild gardens. Dinner in the hotel.

We depart our hotel for our journey home sailing from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay when we re-join the mainland after a morning coffee stop in Largs.

WINNOCK HOTEL, DRYMEN *** – Over night hotel
DUNOLLIE HOTEL, ISLE OF SKYE *** – The Dunollie Hotel has views across the sea to Loch Kishorn and the Applecross Hills. Each of the smart and spacious rooms feature a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. No lift in hotel.
GLENBURN HOTEL, ISLE OF BUTE *** – Situated above its own terraced gardens, The Glenburn Hotel is a Victorian sandstone building which offers panoramic views across Rothesay Bay to the Cowal Peninsula. All rooms are ensuite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Hotel has a lift.
