The Isle of Wight is just 23 miles long and 13 miles wide yet full of interesting features including miles of sandy beaches and a  stunning coastline. This is a special place with the most diverse    countryside in Britain. Sandown is a seaside resort town on the southeast coast and it is notable for its long stretch of easily accessible golden sandy beach. It is the site of the lost Sandown  Castle.

ITINERARY

Excursions included:

This morning we have a visit to Ventnor Botantic Gardens before enjoying a visit to the much-loved Donkey Sanctuary, a true island treasure and Haven for over 100 rescued donkeys & ponies. Returning to hotel for dinner.

 

Today we take in a scenic tour of the South West coast, stopping at the pretty seaside town of Ventnor for free time, the famous landmark of The Needles, and enjoy free time in the peaceful harbour town of Yarmouth before returning to our hotel for dinner.

 

Step back in time with a visit to the historic Carisbrooke Castle where Charles I, was imprisoned here after his Civil War defeat. This afternoon we have a visit to Osborne House, once Queen Victoria’s summer residence. Step into an unforgettable glimpse into the private family life of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Returning to our hotel for dinner.
