ITINERARY

Excursions included:

Our second day begins with a nostalgic ride on the Aviemore & Strathspey Steam Railway, winding through the scenic Cairngorms. Step back in time as the heritage train takes you through breathtaking Highland landscapes. Afterwards, we visit the RSPB Osprey Centre, where a wildlife ranger will give a fascinating talk about the resident ospreys and other local wildlife.

 

We travel from Grantown-on-Spey to Inverness, where you’ll have free time to explore the charming Highland capital. In the afternoon, enjoy a two-hour cruise on the Moray Firth, home to a resident pod of dolphins and other marine life. Afterwards, we follow the scenic Moray Coast road to Aberdeen, where we stay for two nights.

 

This morning, join a guided tour of the historic and reputedly haunted Crathes Castle, famed for its turreted towers, painted ceilings, and ghostly legends. The afternoon is free to spend at leisure in Aberdeen, known as the Granite City, with its sparkling architecture, shops, and museums. Dinner in hotel.

 

We depart Aberdeen and travel through beautiful Royal Deeside, visiting the majestic Balmoral Castle, the Highland retreat of the Royal Family. Explore the stunning gardens and exhibition rooms before we continue our journey over Spittal of Glenshee and into picturesque Perthshire, where we pause in the charming town of Pitlochry for free time. Dinner in hotel.
