Llandudno at the Dunoon

ITINERARY

Excursions Included:

After breakfast we make our way to the charming seaside town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, where you’ll have some free time to explore. Perhaps take a stroll along the Victorian pier, browse the local shops, or admire the  impressive Beaumaris Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then continue with a short stop at the famous Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll (often shortened to Llanfair PG) where you’ll have the chance to grab some lunch (at own cost). In the afternoon, we journey on to the historic town of Caernarfon, where a highlight of the day awaits – a relaxing    45-minute cruise along the scenic Menai Strait, offering wonderful views of Snowdonia’s mountains. Dinner in hotel.

 

Today we step back in time with a return journey on the historic Great Orme Tramway, the only cable-hauled tramway of its kind in Britain, dating back to 1902. Sit back and enjoy the scenic ride as we ascend to the summit of the Great Orme,  taking in sweeping views over Llandudno Bay and across to Anglesey and Snowdonia on a clear day. Following our tramway experience, there will be some free time in the elegant resort of Llandudno – perhaps take a stroll along the Victorian promenade, browse the independent shops, or relax with a cup of tea in one of the many cafés (at own cost). Dinner in hotel.
