This morning we visit Shaftesbury, Dorset’s historic town, on bustling market day, where you can browse the stalls and soak up the lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, we continue to the traditional town of Dorchester, famous for it’s roman and iron age history. Returning to hotel for dinner.
We begin our holiday with a visit to the unique Abbotsbury Swannery, the only place in the world where you can walk through a colony of nesting mute swans. Time your visit perfectly with the midday feeding, an unforgettable sight. In the afternoon, enjoy the nearby Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, filled with exotic plants, woodland walks, and stunning views of the Jurassic Coast. Afterward, we travel to our hotel to settle in for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Enjoy a relaxing free day in Weymouth, one of Dorset’s most charming seaside towns. Take a leisurely stroll along the award-winning golden sands of Weymouth Beach, where you can enjoy traditional seaside amusements and soak up stunning views of the bay. Explore the picturesque Old Harbour, lined with colourful fishing boats, quaint cafés, and inviting pubs – perfect for a coffee or freshly caught fish and chips (at your own cost). Dinner in the hotel.
