We head to the beautiful English Riviera and begin our day with a visit to the delightful Babbacombe Model Village, where miniature landscapes, buildings, and quirky scenes bring Britain to life in small scale. In the afternoon there’s free time in Torquay, a classic seaside resort with a bustling harbour, palm-lined seafront, and plenty of shops and cafés to explore at leisure. Dinner in hotel.

Today is a free day in Sidmouth, giving you the chance to enjoy this charming Regency town at your own pace. Perhaps take a stroll along the elegant esplanade, browse the independent shops, or simply relax by the sea in this peaceful resort before returning to the hotel for dinner.

This morning we travel to the Seaton Tramway for a nostalgic single journey aboard a heritage electric tram, gliding through the Axe Valley wetlands from Colyford to Seaton. Later, we continue to the delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis, often called the “Pearl of Dorset”, where you’ll have time to enjoy the beach, harbour, and historic Cobb. Dinner in hotel.

 

 

THE ROYAL YORK & FAULKNER HOTEL ***

A firm favourite with our customers for many years this AA 3 Star family-run hotel has been owned by the same family for over fifty years. Situated at the centre of the Esplanade it overlooks the sea and is adjacent to the shopping centre. Lounge Bar with sea view, reading room, writing room, café bar and sea view restaurant. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, radio, telephone, hairdryer, free wi-fi and tea and coffee making facilities. Aspara Spa with hydrotherapy pool, steam room and sauna. Therapists offer a wide range of beauty treatments (at extra cost). Lifts to all floors.
